Coolie No 1 Movie Story & Performances:
The story revolves around Raju(Varun Dhawan) the most
popular name among
the porter community in Mumbai’s local railway station. The
movie is a remake
of Govinda & Karisma Kapoor starrer movie which was released
in 1995.
The matchmaker Jai Kishen (Jaaved Jaaferi) found a good
match for Jeffery
Rozaria’s (Paresh Rawal) daughter Sara (Sara Ali Khan).
Rozaria wants a rich son-in-law for his daughter but when
he heard from Jai
Kishen that they arrived at his house by bus, he
immediately rejected the proposal.
Jai Kishen felt insulted and decided to teach Rozaria a
lesson of a lifetime.
The Coolie No 1 Raju appears with a bang. A little boy went
towards the train line
for a toy and was saved by Raju from a near-impossible
situation. He was also in search
of a girl to tie the knot sooner. His profession was the
greatest barrier to his marriage.
While Jai Kishen was walking through the footbridge on
the platform Sara’s photo
slipped from his hand & Raju got it. Having a small
conversation with him Jai Kishen
thought Raju will be the right guy for breaking Rozaria’s
vanity.
Jai Kishen decided to guide & support Raju to be the perfect
son-in-law of Rozaria.
His friend Deepak(Sahil Vaid), a mechanic by profession,
also agrees to help him
throughout the process.
The charming and handsome Varun Dhawan provided a top-notch
performance in
Coolie No 1. After him, if anybody was able to make the
audience laugh louder then
it was Paresh Rawal.
To be honest Johnny Lever & Rajpal Yadav should have
got a few more scenes that
could make the audience happier. Sara Ali Khan rarely got
chance to impress the
audience here.
We also did not find any romantic scene between Sahil
Vaid & Shikha Talsania
which made their relationship completely off-colored.
The story was almost similar to the Govinda starrer movie of
1995 except for only a
few random changes. While many people are doing it but I
personally think we
should not jump for any comparison between Varun Dhawan and
Govinda.
On this New Year's eve if you are looking for some movies
with good comedy to
refresh your mood then you can watch Coolie No 1.
