Sei Je Holud Pakhi 2 (2021) Web Series Review: Story & Performances
Joydeep Mukherjee Directorial mystery thriller Shei Je Holud Pakhi Season 2 starring Tridha Chowdhury, Saswata Chatterjee, Rupanjana Mitra, Koushik Sen, Shoumo Banerjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Gourab Chatterjee, Prantik Banerjee, Bidipta Chakraborty, & Chandreyee Ghosh premiered on Hoichoi on 14th April 2021
Shei Je Holud Pakhi is a thrilling Bengali web series that has kept audiences on the edge of their seats since its first season. In season 1, an investigation was launched into the death of singing sensation Vaidehi (Tridha Chowdhury), and Police Officer Somnath Maitra (Saswata Chatterjee) was suspended on suspicion. Fans eagerly awaited season 2 to uncover the truth behind Vaidehi's tragic demise.
Thanks to the intervention of the Home Minister, Somnath Maitra was given a chance to return to duty and was joined by his ex-colleague Anuradha Mukherjee (Rupanjana Mitra). However, he still carries the pain of not being able to find his missing daughter, Mitil.
Kousik (Shoumo Banerjee) was removed from the Vaidehi case and reassigned to other tasks. The Home Minister also revealed that Vaidehi's mother, Karuna (Bidipta Chakraborty), was currently in an asylum.
Through his research and clues, Somnath Maitra identified Diganta Bose (Koushik Sen) as the prime suspect in Vaidehi's death. Diganta Bose even challenges Somnath Maitra to prove his guilt.
Director Joydeep Mukherjee's previous work on Detective on Hoichoi was entertaining, and his work on Shei Je Holud Pakhi 2 is even better. The music by Upali Chattopadhyay and Raja Narayan Deb is top-notch.
Tridha Chowdhury is a standout performer in Shei Je Holud Pakhi season 2. Her portrayal of Vaidehi's character with her innocence, passion for music, and love for Diganta will captivate the audience. Her outstanding performances in web series such as Aashram and Bandish Bandits have also been highly appreciated by viewers.
Saswata Chatterjee, who has played the character of Shabor Dasgupta, impresses yet again in his role as Officer Somnath Maitra. He is well-supported by Rupanjana Mitra, who portrays a tough officer handling criminals.
Shoumo Banerjee consistently delivers strong supporting performances in various series such as Damayanti and Nokol Heere. Koushik Sen, Chandreyee Ghosh, and Prantik Banerjee also deliver noteworthy performances as Diganta, Jonaki, and Rik, respectively.
