Story & Performances:
The story of the “Master” movie revolves around mainly two lead characters
Bhavani(Vijay Sethupathi) and John Durairaj Aka J.D(Vijay Joseph).
Bhavani is a gangster who is popular for his ruthless actions and criminal
activities. J.D is an alcoholic psychology professor who is loved by all and
popular for friendly approach towards students.
The college dislikes J.D due to being an alcoholic and they wanted to
cancel the election due to the chaos but J.D took responsibility for a
peaceful election. The management agrees on one condition that is if he
failed to do so, he might resign.
J.D failed to keep his promise and he had to join as the master of a
correctional facility. The children of the observation home are mostly
drug-addicted and involved in criminal activities.
Bhavani mainly rules the transport business and is also expanding his
criminal empire through the young criminals of the correctional
facilities.
The death of two young boys of the correctional facility had JD’s life
completely.
The unique way of storytelling by Lokesh Kanagaraj made “Vijay The Master”
more enjoyable. Whether we talk about the action sequences or the emotional
scenes, Vijay Joseph was the center of attraction for the “Vijay The Master”
movie.
The character of Bhavani was quite challenging especially when you have
someone like Thalapathy Vijay as the protagonist. There couldn’t be anyone
doing it better than Vijay Sethupathi.
Malavika Mohanan was impressive during her little screen presence. Arjun
Das as Das and Mahendran as the young Bhavani also provided valuable
contributions.
What is good about “Vijay The Master” movie?
Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi’s mind-blowing acting and Anirudh
Ravichander’s composition were enough to entertain you throughout the
movie.
What is bad about “Vijay The Master” movie?
The story looked a bit similar to Kamal Haasan starring movie “Nammavar”. A
few scenes, especially the ones in the college looked unnecessary.
