14 Phere Movie Story:

14 Phere movie marks the directorial debut of Devanshu Singh. The story of the movie revolves around Rajput guy Sanjay (Vikrant) and Jatt girl Aditi (Kriti). Both love each other since their college days. They also work in the same company and want to get married.

But knowing their families’ caste priority for marriage, they never dared to tell their parents. They were in a happy live-in relationship until Sanjay came to know that his parents have started searching for a suitable girl for him. He informed them about his & Aditi’s affair and also lied to them about her caste.

To convince both families separately they planned to hire fake parents. A few declined the offer while many were rejected due to their ineligibility. Finally, Amay (Jameel Khan) and Zubina (Gauhar Khan) agreed to help them with this.

Can these fake parents convince Sanjay & Aditi’s real families? Why the movie is titled “14 Phere”? Is there any twist in the story? Watching the movie on ZEE5 can certainly help you get answers to these questions.

Performance & Analysis:

The solid chemistry between Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda has made “14 Phere” quite enjoyable. Especially Vikrant Massey was exceptional in a few scenes. He is probably in the best phase of his acting career till date. From last year we have seen some of his good performances in movies like “Cargo”, “Dolly Kitty Aur Who Chamakte Sitare”, “Ginny Weds Sunny”, “Ramprasad KI Tehrvi”, “Haseen Dilruba”, etc.

Kriti Kharbanda was also convincing with her character Aditi. She was last seen in “Taish” which was released in 2020. Gauahar Khan and Jameel Khan provided good support with their given screen presence.

Director Devanshu Singh’s effort should be appreciated but the college part deserved more focus in giving us a clear idea about the development of Sanjay & Aditi’s relationship. Barring the predictable screenplay and the forgetful climax “14 Phere” is okay for a one-time watch.
