Actor Vicky Kaushal & Director Shashank Khaitan’s Maiden Collaboration:
Actor Vicky Kaushal is in the news these days for his outstanding performance in director Shoojit Sircar’s biographical historical drama movie Sardar Udham. On 12th November 2021, the makers have released the first look poster of his upcoming movie titled “Govinda Naam Mera” which was previously titled Mr. Lele.
The first look poster has revealed that Vicky Kaushal’s character name is Govinda Waghmare, while Kiara Advani will play the character of Govinda’s naughty girlfriend, and Bhumi Pednekar will portray the character of Govinda’s hotty wife.
The movie will be written & directed by Shashank Khaitan whose only release this year was the anthology film Ajeeb Daastaans on Netflix. He made his debut with Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer movie Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania & was also the writer of the late Sushant Singh Rajput starrer movie Dil Bechara. He is also the writer-director of the upcoming movie Dono Mile Iss Tarah.
Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, & Shashank Khaitan will jointly bankroll the movie Govinda Naam Mera. The movie also marks the maiden collaboration between actor Vicky Kaushal & director Shashank Khaitan. Vicky Kaushal will also feature in the upcoming movie The Great Indian Family.
After two back-to-back forgetful performances in Laxmii & Indoo Ki Jawani, Kiara Advani delivered a top-notch performance in her last movie Shershaah opposite Sidharth Malhotra. She will also feature in upcoming movies like Jug Jugg Jeeyo opposite Varun Dhawan & Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 opposite Kartik Aaryan.
Bhumi Pednekar featured in 3 movies, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare in 2020 but none of her movies has released in 2021. She will also feature in upcoming movies like “Raksha Bandhan” starring Akshay Kumar in the male lead & “Badhaai Do” opposite Rajkummar Rao.
