Rudrabinar Obhishaap Season 2 (2022) Review: Story, Performances & Analysis
After almost 6 months of releasing Rudrabinar Obhishaap season 1, season 2 started streaming on Hoichoi. The death of Saaj’s (Ditipriya Roy) mother left the whole family in shock. Alaap (Vikram Chatterjee) is confident about bringing her mother Rohini (Pushpita Mukherjee) back from Rudrapur as she was abducted by Rudrabhairab (Sudeep Mukherjee).
Alaap’s main objective is to find out Raag Sanjivani which will help him rescue her mother. Rudrabhairab is after Alaap to find out Raag Sanjivani quickly.
Meanwhile, Moti(Rupanjana Mitra) tried to help Rohini escape from Rudrapur but was caught by Rudrabhairab, and Moti was punished for this. In search of Raag Sanjivani, Alaap and Shruti(Rupsa Chatterjee) arrived at Pandit Shashikanto Bharadwaj’s (Paran Bandyopadhyay) music institute and found some help from him.
Naad(Sourav Das) kidnapped Saaj, Alaap, and Shruti to save them from Rudrabhairab but none were ready to believe his words. All were taken to Rudrapur’s temple for a singing competition between Alaap and Naad to get rid of Raag Sanjivani.
Vikram Chatterjee as Alaap once again delivered a top-notch performance. Like season 1, Sourav Das as Naad did a fantastic job here too. Paran Bandyopadhyay is always a delight to watch. He appeared in the 5th episode but left a long-lasting impression in audiences’ hearts. Ditipriya Roy, Ushasi Roy, and Rupsa Chatterjee also provided good support with their respective characters.
Music is the only area that has remained consistent in Rudrabinar Obhishaap Season 1 and Rudrabinar Obhishaap Season 2. The music director Joy Sarkar didn’t leave any stone unturned to make season 2 a musical blockbuster by handling the Indian classical music part brilliantly.
Director Joydeep Mukherjee didn’t provide much focus on the script. The weak writing and failure to give much focus on Saaj and Shruti’s characters are a few flaws of season 2.
Final Words:
Barring weak writing, Rudrabinar Obhishaap season 2 is a musical blockbuster with a few fantastic performances.
