Hirokgorer Hire (2022) Bengali Movie Review:
Director Sayantan Ghosal's Hirokgorer Hire starring Soham Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee, Bonny Sengupta, & Ayoshi Talukdar in the lead roles premiered on ZEE5 on 21st October 2022.
The story starts with Aadi (Soham Chakraborty) dreaming of a perfect robbery at a jewelry shop with his friend Rony (Bonny Sengupta). Before they arrived there the popular biker gang comprising only two members Riya (Koushani Mukherjee) & Tina (Ayoshi Talukdar) did their job.
Aadi and Rony had to save their aunt Shukalata who is currently at Sparsha Mental Home. She is the only one who looked after both of them from their childhood and never left them alone.
So, their next target is to rob the diamond of Hirokgor. Who will finally get the diamond forms the rest of the story?

None of the lead cast including Soham Chakraborty, Koushani Mukherjee, Bonny Sengupta, and Ayoshi Talukdar looked convincing with their performances; rather Kanchan Mullick and Biswanath Basu’s comedy scenes were far better than the whole movie.
I think at the climax only the writers realized what they have just done & to cover it up they have a change in plan for the next adventure they are planning. It will be based on a clue they received from the owner (Sumanta Mukherjee) of Rangeet Villa, exactly the kind of adventure thriller we generally see Abir Chatterjee portraying often (the latest one is Karnasubarner Guptodhon).
The movie guarantees the worst kind of dialogue you may have come across till date in the Bengali film industry. You will hear the Bengali version of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer movie Don’s dialogue “Don ko pakadna muskil hi nehi……” which has been presented as “Biker gang ke atkano kothin noy osomvob”.
In another scene at the mental home, an old lady delivers the famous Rakhi Gulzar’s dialogue from Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol-Mamta Kulkarni-Amrish Puri starrer movie Karan Arjun in her own style which was quite painful.
I am quite surprised to see a movie like Hirokgorer Hire coming from a director like Sayantan Ghosal who has already delivered movies and web series like Sampurna, Alinagarer Golokdhadha, Indu, Jawker Dhan, Gora, Lalbazar, Mouchaak, & Byomkesh, etc. The movie is full of flaws from start to end, even the music by Dabbu, background score by Amit-Ishaan & editing by MD Kalam nothing looked okay.
Final Words:
Director Sayantan Ghosal’s comedy-drama Hirokgorer Hire has nothing good in it so I will recommend you to sleep for two hours if you fail to choose the right movie or web series unless you are a die-hard fan of any of the lead cast.
