The story begins with Ram (Harsha Vardhan) who is cheated on by his wife and got arrested by police when his wife raises a complaint of domestic violence & he lost his job too.

SP Krishna Dev aka KD (Adivi Sesh) was assigned a murder case which he solved without much trouble. He proposes to his girlfriend Aarya (Meenakshi Chaudhary) to stay with him in a live-in relationship and she accepted. KD is also accompanied by his pet Max.

Soon, KD was appointed to investigate the murder of a woman. After the initial investigation, he found one suspect & arrested him. But as the investigation progresses he learns that they have arrested the wrong person. Will the Homicide Intervention Team (HIT) be able to find the serial killer?

After the magnificent success of Hit: The first case, director Sailesh Kolanu continues his good form. If we talk about the positive sides of this film then the performance of Adivi Sesh will be topping the list.

When you are working on the sequel of a successful franchise the expectations from audiences will be high. And I have to agree that he handled those expectations quite well in Hit 2. His screen presence, dialogue deliveries, and body language were amazing throughout the movie. Some of his notable works include Kshanam, Goodachari, Major, & Baahubali: The Beginning, etc.

Meenakshi Chaudhary has also delivered a brilliant performance here. This is her second project in 2022 after Ravi Teja starrer action thriller Khiladi.

The chemistry between Adivi Sesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary has worked well and this is where the writer & director Sailesh Kolanu deserves full credit to give some attention to their chemistry development part which often gets overlooked by writers in crime thrillers. The cameos by Nani and Vishwak Sen were also perfectly added to the script.

For the first time, Suhas got a good opportunity to work in the sequel of a successful franchise but failed to make a big impact with his performance. He has earlier worked in movies like Majili starring Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, & Divyansha Kaushik, and Rang De starring Nithiin & Keerthy Suresh.

The pace of the narrative was quite slow in the first half but as the story progresses it became interesting. The story is certainly not unique but the way it has been presented makes it a must-watch thriller and we can say our wait begins for Hit 3. Editing by Garry BH, Cinematography by S. Manikandan, & the music by M. M. Srilekha & Suresh Bobbili deserve a mention for their efforts.
