Bhoy (2023) Review: Story & Performances
Ayan (Ankush Hazra ) is a swimming coach who prefers to train boys and girls at the local club rather than choosing a high-paying club. He was living a happy life with his ailing mother, an autistic sister, and his girlfriend Brinda (Nusraat Faria). His uncle wants possession of their house but Ayan is not ready to accept the forgery of his uncle. His uncle joins hands with the local MLA to ruin his nephew’s life. Ayan is trapped by his uncle and his life becomes miserable. What are the difficulties Ayan will face from his uncle? Will Ayan be able to come out of this difficult situation?
Director Raja Chanda is probably delivering the worst kind of projects of his career from 2020. Many might have wondered about the reasons behind choosing movies like Harano Prapti, Magic, Ajob Premer Golpo, & Savings Account.
Ankush Hazra and Nusraat Faria failed to impress with their respective performances and the on-screen chemistry between them is also neglectful. Recently he delivered brilliant performances in Uttwaran & Shikarpur and fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming action thriller Mirza. Barring these two none of his projects since 2021 made any good impact in the audience’s hearts. I was quite surprised to see the selection of projects from Ankush Hazra. Nusraat Faria will be seen in the upcoming musical thriller Rockstar starring Yash Dasgupta.
Bhoy on ZEE5 stands among the worst Bengali films till date to be released in 2023. From the beginning to the climax, you will fail to find any element that will make you happy to invest your precious time. The weakest plot & the disturbing background score will make you suffer throughout the movie and the editing & the cinematography were also pathetic.
