Dakghor (2023) Bengali Web Series on Hoichoi:
Uronchondi fame director Abhishek Saha has geared up for his upcoming romantic drama Dakghor written by Padmanabha Dasgupta. Hoichoi announced the title with a teaser featuring Suhotra Mukhopadhyay and Ditipriya Roy the male and female leads of the series respectively. StoriBoat which produced Sundarbaner Vidyasagar has produced this series.
Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will be playing the character of Damodar, the Postman of Hagda while Ditipriya Roy will portray the character of Monjori. How they fell for each other at first sight and how their love story progresses will be something interesting to watch. Also, why did Monjori call Damodar the ghost’s son?
After featuring in Aay Khuku Aay, Rajkahini, Achena Uttam, Kolkata Chalantika, Bob Biswas, Dev: I Love You, & Avijatrik Ditipriya Roy appeared in web series like Rudrabinar Obhishaap, Mukti, & Bodhon. Apart from Dakghor, she will be also featured in the upcoming film Mayamrigaya.
We will see Suhotra Mukhopadhyay in a completely different character in Dakghor than what he has done earlier in his career. If we look at the roles Suhotra Mukhopadhyay portrayed till date in his career we will understand that he does not hesitate to take challenges.
His performances were not much impactful in films like Byomkesh Hatyamancha & The Eken but he delivered some convincing performances in web series like Indu, Indu 2, & Paap Season 2: Antim Pawrbo.
It will be interesting to watch both these promising actors performing together in a romantic drama. Hoichoi will drop the trailer soon.
