Noshtoneer (2023) Trailer: Hoichoi's Upcoming Mystery Thriller Premieres on 9th June
Noshtoneer, the upcoming mystery thriller directed by Aditi Roy will release on 9th June 2023. The series will premiere on Hoichoi, and the recently released trailer on 23rd May 2023 has generated much anticipation. The leading stars of this series include Sandipta Sen, Shoumo Banerjee, Angana Roy, Rooqma Ray, Anindya Chatterjee, Rahul Dev Bose, Lokenath Dey, and Nabonita Malakar.
The 2-minute and 47-second trailer unveils the story of Aparna (played by Sandipta Sen), a happily married woman to Professor Rishabh (played by Shoumo Banerjee). Together, they have a 5-year-old daughter named Mithi. Aparna strongly values relationships and believes that they are not just about give and take but are meant to bring happiness. However, their lives take a drastic turn when Aparna discovers that her husband has been arrested due to #MeToo allegations.
Godhuli Basak (played by Angana Roy) seeks justice by sharing her story on social media with the hashtag #MeToo. Rishabh insists that he has been framed and tries to convince Aparna of his innocence. Aparna, torn between her loyalty towards her husband and her growing empathy for Godhuli, decides to meet her and learn more about her story. Will Aparna stand by her husband's side, or will she fight for justice on behalf of Godhuli?
Writer Samragnee Bandyopadhyay's commendable effort to shed light on the social issues women face is evident in Noshtoneer. The series utilizes hashtags like #WhatIsConsent and #JoinTheConversation to redirect society's attention to the relevant areas and encourage people to participate in such campaigns.
Thematically, the series bears some resemblance to the Netflix show Guilty. This marks Aditi Roy's second web series after Bodhon Season 1 and her second collaboration with Sandipta Sen, who also starred in Bodhon.
Rooqma Ray, Anindya Chatterjee, Rahul Dev Bose, Lokenath Dey, and Nabonita Malakar will portray crucial characters in this series.
