Durgo Rawhoshyo Web Series: Srijit Mukherji Unveils the First Poster

Durgo Rawhoshyo (2023) Bengali Web Series Will be Streaming on Hoichoi Soon

On July 1, 2023, director Srijit Mukherji unveiled the first poster of his upcoming web series titled 'Durgo Rawhoshyo'. The poster showcased Byomkesh Bakshi, Ajit, and Satyabati in an artistic form, with both Byomkesh Bakshi and Ajit portrayed without spectacles.

In this series, Anirban Bhattacharya will portray the character of the sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi, while Rahul Arunoday Banerjee will play the role of Ajit, and Sohini Sarkar will be seen as Satyabati. The story of the series is based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's novel 'Durgo Rohoshyo (The Mystery of the Fortress)' and is set to premiere on Hoichoi soon.

It is worth noting that director Birsa Dasgupta is also working on an upcoming film called 'Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya', where Dev will portray the character of Byomkesh Bakshi and Rukmini Maitra will play Satyabati. Interestingly, the story of this film is also based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's novel 'Durgo Rohoshyo (The Mystery of the Fortress)'.

The shooting of 'Durgo Rawhoshyo' had to be paused for a while due to an incident where director Srijit Mukherji, DOP Soumik Halder, and a few other crew members were attacked by bees during the shoot in Madhya Pradesh.

Anirban Bhattacharya was previously featured in 'Byomkesh O Pinjrapol', which was the 8th season of Byomkesh, as well as in 'Mohanagar Season 2'. He will also be seen in upcoming films such as 'Dawshom Awbotaar' and 'Athhoi'.

Last year, Srijit Mukherji directed projects such as 'Kakababur Protyaborton', 'X=Prem', 'Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga', 'Shabaash Mithu', and 'Feludar Goyendagiri Season 1'. This year, he received appreciation from audiences and critics for 'Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke'. His upcoming projects include 'Dawshom Awbotaar', 'Oti Uttam', 'Padatik," 'Feluda Pherot Jawto Kando Kathmandute', 'Feludar Goyendagiri Season 2', and 'Shekhar Home'.
