Oh! Lovely (2023) Bengali Movie Trailer: Director Haranath Chakraborty brings another new face to his upcoming romantic comedy
The trailer for director Haranath Chakraborty’s upcoming romantic drama Oh! Lovely was released on 9th August 2023. The film marks the debut of politician Madan Mitra, as well as Srish Chatterjee (Rik). It is scheduled to hit theaters on 25th August 2023.
The storyline of Oh! Lovely revolves around Santu (Rik), a young man disinterested in his family’s agriculture business, who aspires to join the corporate world. During one of his job interviews, he encounters Nidhi (Rajnandini Paul) and is instantly captivated by her. Nidhi is in urgent need of a job to avoid an arranged marriage her family is pushing for, which would involve going abroad. Can Santu and Nidhi overcome the obstacles and marry each other?
This romantic comedy is produced by Sandeep Sathi under the banner of Sathi Films. The film will be edited by Sujay Datta Ray, while Shwar Barik will handle the cinematography. The background score will be composed by S P Venkatesh, with music composition by Suvam-Subhankar. Kharaj Mukherjee & Laboni Sarkar will play crucial roles in this film.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been penned by Sudeep Das, with additional support for the screenplay and dialogues provided by Padmanabha Dasgupta.
Director Haranath Chakraborty has previously collaborated with top actors in the Bengali film industry, such as Prosenjit Chatterjee, Mithun Chakraborty, Rituparna Sengupta, Victor Banerjee, Utpal Dutta, Ranjit Mallick, and Jeet, among many others. He has delivered blockbuster films like Sathi, Sangee, Naater Guru, Pratibad, Mahan, Nabab, & Tulkalam among others.
However, over the past decade, his storytelling prowess, for which he was renowned in the 1990s and 2000s, has been lacking. His comeback attempts this year with Daal Baati Churma followed by Bhootchakra Pvt. Ltd. in 2019 were unsuccessful at the box office.
Rajnandini Paul has been featured in films and web series such as Asur, Ogo Bideshini, Uronchondi, Sampurna, Ek Je Chhilo Raja and will also be seen in Mr. Kolketa.
