Today marks Ranbir Kapoor's birthday, and to our delight, the creators of his upcoming film Animal have given us a surprising gift by unveiling the film's teaser.
In this teaser, which spans nearly 2 and a half minutes, we witness an unparalleled father-son connection etched in blood between Ranbir Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor's appearance in this teaser is unlike any we've seen before, and the entire credit for this transformation goes to the film's writer, editor, and director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Anil Kapoor is depicted slapping his on-screen son, portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor, and raising his voice in anger. Ranbir Kapoor's character becomes visibly upset when his wife Geetanjali, played by Rashmika Mandanna, questions, "You won't turn out like your father, will you?" He holds his father in high regard and views him as the best father in the world.
The film is a collaborative production effort from Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Murad Khetani, and Krishan Kumar. Bobby Deol, who plays a negative character in the movie, makes a striking appearance shirtless, brandishing a knife towards the end of the teaser.
Animal also boasts a cast including Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Babloo Prithiveeraj, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Siddharth Karnick in pivotal roles.
Originally slated for release on August 11, 2023, the film faced a delay due to some unfinished post-production work. Now, eager fans will have to wait until December 1, 2023, for its theatrical release.
Animal will be presented in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Notably, the Hindi version of the teaser garnered over 10 million views on YouTube within just 12 hours of its release.
