Palan (2023) Movie Teaser:
Director Kaushik Ganguly paid a birth centenary tribute to the legendary director Mrinal Sen by unveiling the teaser for his upcoming film, "Palan." The film is produced by Prateek Chakraborty under the banner of Pramod Films and The Big Day.
In the 58-second teaser, Mamata Shankar is visibly emotional, seated beside Anjan Dutt. A notice outside the wall warns about the perilous condition of the house. In another scene, parts of the roof can be seen crumbling. Towards the end of the teaser, Anjan Dutt draws a poignant parallel between his own predicament and that of the character Palan, highlighting his lack of a place to stay.
The teaser also features Jisshu Sengupta and Paoli Dam in an intimate scene. Additionally, Srila Majumder, Debapratim Dasgupta, and Buddhadeb Bhattacharya will play pivotal roles in the film.
"Palan" is scheduled to grace the big screen on 22nd September 2023, with Neel Dutt overseeing the background music. Appu Prabhakar is responsible for cinematography, while Subhajit Singha handles the editing.
Mamata Shankar expresses her enthusiasm for this project, considering her acting debut in 1976 with "Mrigaya," which was directed by Mrinal Sen and co-starred Mithun Chakraborty. She recently delivered top-notch performances in Projapoti and Shibpur.
Director Srijit Mukherji also pays tribute to the legendary director Mrinal Sen with his upcoming film Padatik.
