Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo First Look Video: Based on Rajkumar Moitra's Book
On the auspicious day of Durga Puja's Panchami, SVF Entertainment and Jio Studios unveiled the first look video of their upcoming film, Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo. Directed by Dhrubo Banerjee, the film stars Kharaj Mukherjee in the titular role, bringing to life the character from author Rajkumar Moitra's book of the same name. This marks the second collaboration between SVF Entertainment and Jio Studios, following Srijit Mukherji's Dawshom Awbotaar.
The 1-minute and 39-second first-look video showcases Kharaj Mukherjee in various comedic scenes, embodying the central character. In addition to Mukherjee, the video also introduces other versatile actors, including Kaushik Sen and Rajatava Dutta, alongside Aparajita Adhya, Ditipriya Roy, Riddhi Sen, Ujaan Chatterjee, and Sudeep Dhara. The highlight of this initial glimpse, aside from Kharaj Mukherjee's comedic moments, is Rajatava Dutta's memorable dialogue, "If you screw up, your Bogla Mama will be buried alive in his own backyard."
The film's music and background score will be composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, while Sreejib has penned the screenplay and dialogues. Editing will be overseen by Sanglap Bhowmik, and cinematography will be handled by Soumik Halder (ISC). As of now, the official announcement of the trailer and release date for "Bogla Mama" is pending, but be ready for an exciting drama filled with laughter.
Director Dhrubo Banerjee, who delivered two blockbusters in recent years, including Golondaaj in 2021 starring Dev and Isha Saha and Karnasubarner Guptodhon in 2022 featuring Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty, and Isha Saha, is poised to continue his successful streak at the box office. He also made his debut in the world of OTT platforms last year with the web series Tiktiki, starring Anirban Bhattacharya and Kaushik Ganguly.
Kharaj Mukherjee, known for his stellar performances, graced the screen last year in movies like MN Raj's Raavan with Jeet, Rahool Mukherjee's Kishmish starring Dev and Rukmini Maitra, Avijit Sen's Projapoti featuring Dev, Mithun Chakraborty, and Mamata Shankar, as well as Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's Belashuru starring Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta. This year, he continued to make his mark in films such as Shibpur, Dilkhush, and Manobjomin.
