Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A) Review: Hemanth M. Rao impresses with brilliant storytelling
The film begins with Manu (Rakshit Shetty), a car driver, and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth), an aspiring singer, embarking on a long drive. However, Manu drives the car too fast, causing Priya to become frightened and request him to stop. She attempts to convey to him that, with a monthly income of Rs 12,000, it would take him 80 years to earn the 1.5 crores, the estimated price of the car.
Manu deeply loves Priya and admires her voice. Priya's dream is to live near the sea, and they plan to marry soon, intending to relocate to a new place. To fulfill their aspirations and secure their future, Manu takes a significant step that leaves their future uncertain. What exactly is this step Manu took? Will Priya and Manu proceed with their marriage?
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A) marks Hemanth M Rao’s third directorial venture after Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu & Kavaludaari. His storytelling prowess is evident, and along with Gundu Shetty, he crafts a beautifully written script. Apart from a somewhat slow pace, the film does not have too many weaknesses. The emotional scenes effectively convey the pain experienced by Manu and Priya.
Both Rakshit Shetty and Rukmini Vasanth deliver outstanding performances, constituting the film's strongest elements and keeping the audience engaged throughout. Rakshit Shetty's portrayal of Manu illustrates the depth of his love for Priya and her voice, showcasing how far he is willing to go to fulfill their dreams. The actor previously delivered top-notch performances in 777 Charlie & Avane Srimannarayana recently.
Rukmini Vasanth's performance as Priya is stunning, particularly in handling emotional scenes that depict her struggles and the constant yearning for her partner. Achyuth Kumar as Prabhu and Pavitra Lokesh as Priya's mother deliver convincing performances as well.
Charan Raj's music composition adds another layer to this romantic drama, complementing the narrative. Advaitha Gurumurthy's cinematography is noteworthy, capturing scenes with utmost precision, while Sunil S. Bharadwaj’s editing is decent. The conclusion of the unfinished story is revealed in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side B).
