Fighter (2024) Movie: Hrithik Roshan & Siddharth Anand’s 3rd collaboration
On December 4, 2023, director Siddharth Anand revealed the first look poster of his upcoming film Fighter. Starring Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters on the Republic Day weekend.
The first look poster showcases Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, also known as Patty, under the Air Dragons unit, dressed in the uniform of a Squadron Pilot.
This film marks Hrithik Roshan's return to a lead role after his cameo appearance in Salman Khan's Tiger 3 following last year's Vikram Vedha. He is also set to feature in Ayan Mukerji's War 2.
The story of Fighter is jointly written by Ramon Chibb and Siddharth Anand, with the screenplay by Ramon Chibb and dialogues by Hussain Dalal and Abbas Dalal.
Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, the film has a budget of nearly Rs 250 crores, making it Hrithik Roshan's 26th film in a lead role. Editing will be done by Aarif Sheikh, Satchith Paulose will handle cinematography and Vishal–Shekhar will compose the music.
This movie also marks Siddharth Anand's eighth directorial venture, with heightened expectations following the success of Pathaan earlier in the year. It is his third collaboration with Hrithik Roshan after Bang Bang! in 2014 and War in 2019.
Anil Kapoor, recently seen in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, will play a crucial role in the film. Other significant cast members include Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Talat Aziz.
In January, Hrithik Roshan will celebrate 23 years in the industry since his debut in a lead role in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Siddharth Anand has already planned Fighter 2 during the scriptwriting stage and will begin working on it after completing Tiger Vs Pathaan.
On December 5, 2023, the makers unveiled the first look poster of Deepika Padukone, who will portray the character of Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. Deepika Padukone is set to showcase top-notch action sequences in the film and will also be featured as Lady Singham in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again and Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD.
The first-look poster of Akshay Oberoi as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan aka Bash was unveiled on 13th December 2023. The actor previously delivered good performances in Illegal & High, Love Hostel & Isi Life Mein.
