Friends Communication, the production house that embarked on its cinematic journey with the 2013 film Rupkatha Noy, is celebrating a decade in the industry. To mark this milestone, they unveiled the trailer for their upcoming production, Hubba, on December 21, 2023.
In the 2-minute, 12-second trailer, writer and director Bratya Basu skillfully introduces Mosharraf Karim in the role of a menacing gangster who revels in the moments when warm blood splatters on his face after a murder.
Indraneil Sengupta portrays a determined cop leading the mission to capture Hubba and restore peace to the city. The narrative promises to unravel the transformation of Hooghly’s Shyamal Das into the feared gangster Hubba, showcasing the intense cat-and-mouse chase between the police and the criminal. Loknath Dey plays a pivotal role, adding depth to the storyline.
The trailer is commendably edited, and both Mosharraf Karim and Indraneil Sengupta deliver compelling performances. The editing duties for the film will be handled by Sanglap Bhowmik, while Soumik Haldar takes charge of cinematography, and Prabuddha Banerjee contributes to the musical score.
While the official release date is yet to be confirmed, Hubba is anticipated to hit theaters early next year.
