Mentaaal (2024) Bengali Movie: Yash and Baba Yadav's maiden collaboration

On December 26, 2023, Tollywood actor Yash unveiled the official poster for his upcoming film, Mentaaal. Directed by Baba Yadav, the film marks the production debut of Yash Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan's in-house production, YD Films.

In Mentaaal, Yash Dasgupta takes on the role of OC Suryaa Roy, while Nusrat Jahan is cast as the female lead in this action thriller, portraying the character of a missionary school teacher.

The official poster showcases both lead actors. Yash Dasgupta is depicted in a cop uniform, holding a pistol with blood on his right hand. Sayantani Gupta is set to play a crucial role in the film. Although the exact release date has not been confirmed, the action thriller is scheduled for release in 2024.

The first look poster was revealed on June 25, 2023. Baba Yadav, known for successful films like Boss: Born to Rule, Boss 2: Back to Rule, and Game: He Plays to Win, last directed the film Villain in 2018.

The action thriller Mentaaal marks the first collaboration between Baba Yadav and Yash Dasgupta, as well as Baba Yadav and Nusrat Jahan. The music for the film will be composed by Aamlaann Chakrabarty and Keshab Dey while the dynamic duo of Aejaz Gulab and Rocky Rajesh will be responsible for directing the high-energy action sequences.

Yash Dasgupta's recent appearance was in Sujit Mondal's Toke Chara Banchbona, and he is also set to feature in Anshuman Pratyush's Rockstar and Debraj Sinha's Shikarr. Nusrat Jahan was last seen in Jai Kali Kalkattawali and is slated to appear in Mastermoshai Apni Kichu Dekhenni.

As per official confirmation on 17th January 2024, the film's title has been changed to Sentimentaaal.
