Pariah (2024) Bengali Movie: Director Tathagata Mukherjee's upcoming action thriller

On December 15, 2023, Tollywood actor Vikram Chatterjee unveiled a new poster from his upcoming Bengali film, Pariah. Written and directed by Tathagata Mukherjee, the film is a collaborative production between Pramod Films and Dreams on Sale.

Pariah revolves around a protest against the injustice faced by street dogs. The storyline follows Vikram Chatterjee's character as he becomes entangled in a mysterious case, striving to rescue missing street dogs from the daily injustices they endure. The film features music composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee and promises a mix of high-octane action sequences, set to hit theaters soon.

This film marks Vikram Chatterjee's foray into the action thriller genre, showcasing his dedication through a remarkable body transformation for the role. Angana Roy plays the female lead, portraying Kamalini, a college student and avid pet lover. With notable performances in projects such as Srikanto, Mohomaya, Paap web series, Shei Je Holud Pakhi, and Noshtoneer, she brings depth to her character.

Sreelekha Mitra takes on the role of Sanghamitra, an advocate for animal welfare, with an impressive filmography of over 50 films, including an upcoming appearance in Mir Jafar: Chapter 2. Soumya Mukherjee, known for his roles in Prem Tame, Mitthye Premer Gaan, and Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, plays a crucial role in the film.
