Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023) Movie Trailer Review:
As promised by Hombale Films, the production house, the trailer for their highly-anticipated action thriller Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire was released on December 1, 2023.
The nearly 4-minute trailer highlights the extraordinary bond between two friends, Deva (Prabhas), and Vardharaja Mannaar (Prithviraj Sukumaran). The captivating dialogue, “Tere liye shikar bhi banunga, shikar bhi karunga, sirf tere liye, tu jab bhi bulayega main zaroor aayunga,” assures that Deva can go to any length to protect his best friend, Vardharaja.
Set a thousand years ago, the scariest dacoits in the city of Khansaar transformed the forest into a Rajamannaar fortress. Due to differences in opinion with other gang leaders regarding the successor in Khansaar, Vardharaja Mannaar found it difficult to face the opposition. He decided to seek help from Deva, who is considered a one-man army.
The film marks the maiden collaboration between Rebel star Prabhas and director Prashanth Neel. With this film, the director enters the Telugu film industry. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s character may not look that exciting in the trailer, but Prabhas as Deva will catch your attention from his entry scene.
From the trailer, the plot of Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire seems very similar to Prashanth Neel’s directorial debut film, Ugramm. The overall presentation gives a sense of the KGF franchise. However, the director has dismissed claims of it being a remake of Ugramm, starring Sriimurali, Hariprriya, & Thilak Shekar, which was released on February 21, 2014. We have to wait a bit more to find out the truth.
Shruti Hassan as Aadhya and Easwari Rao as Deva's mother also featured in the trailer. Bhuvan Gowda will handle the Cinematography, Ujwal Kulkarni will look after the editing, & Ravi Basrur will compose the music for this film. The Hindi version of the trailer amassed 54 million views on YouTube within 24 hours, while across all languages, the trailer has garnered a total of 116 million views on YouTube.
