Bijoyar Pore: Autumn Flies (2024) Bengali Movie: Abhijit SriDas & Swastika Mukherjee’s Maiden Collaboration

On January 3, 2024, actress Swastika Mukherjee unveiled the official poster of her upcoming film, Bijoyar Pore. This movie marks the directorial debut of Abhijit SriDas and has been selected for the Kolkata International Film Festival.

Set against the backdrop of Durga Puja, the film narrates the story of an elderly couple, Alokanonda (Mamata Shankar) and Anondo (Deepankar De), who yearn for their daughter Mrinmayi, also known as Minu (Swastika Mukherjee), during the Durga Puja festivities. Suddenly, Minu arrives with her husband Mijanur (Mir Afsar Ali). The film unfolds as various events reconnect their relationships.

Presented by Sujit Raha and produced by SR Jupiter Motion Pictures, the film features music composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee, with cinematography handled by Supriyo Dutta. Bidipta Chakraborty plays a crucial role in the film.

This project marks the reunion of Swastika Mukherjee and Mir Afsar Ali on screen after four years since their last appearance in Rajorshi Basu's Karmachakra in 2020. Mir Afsar Ali is set to feature in Ram Kamal Mukherjee's Binodiini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan, while Swastika Mukherjee will be seen in Durgapur Junction and Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka.
