On January 21, 2024, actress Parno Mitra unveiled the official poster and confirmed the release date of her upcoming film, Bonbibi: Widows of the Wild. Directed by Rajdeep Ghosh, the film features Parno Mitra, Ranojoy Bishnu, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Arya Dasgupta, and Mishka Halim in lead roles. The story of the film has been written by Rohit Dey and Soumya Nandy.
In the movie, Parno Mitra will portray the character of Resham, a widow and tour guide at Sundarbans, while Dibyendu Bhattacharya will be seen as Jahangir, a powerful man who rules the local area. The film unfolds the story of Resham's fight against Jahangir for survival. Ranojoy Bishnu, Arya Dasgupta, and Mishka Halim play crucial roles in the film.
Parno Mittra was last seen in Pakdondi. Rajdeep Ghosh, the director, previously directed "Debigarh e Garbar" on ZEE5. Ranojoy Bishnu was previously featured in "Break Up Story" and "Shororipu 2: Jotugriho." Dibyendu Bhattacharya was last seen in "Mission Raniganj" and will also be featured in "Chakda 'Xpress" and Mirza.
