Cabaret (2024) Bengali Web Series: First Look Unveiled

On January 3, 2024, Addatimes unveiled the first-look video for their upcoming drama web series Cabaret. Directed by Utsav Mukherjee, the series features Puja Banerjee in the lead role.

The 28-second video showcases the actress in the captivating role of a cabaret dancer. The story, screenplay, and dialogues have been skillfully crafted by Utsav Mukherjee and Rangan Chakravorty. Shibasish Banerjee is composing the music, and Prosenjit Chowdhury is handling the cinematography for this promising web series.

Puja Banerjee makes a comeback to the OTT platform with Utsav Mukherjee's "Cabaret." Her previous OTT debut in the Paap web series garnered praise for her brilliant performance.

In Cabaret, Puja Banerjee will portray the character of Elina, a cabaret dancer. Set in 1970s Calcutta, the story unfolds the journey of Elina, who, after arriving from a remote village to Kolkata, rises to become a top cabaret dancer. Satyam Bhattacharya will depict the character of a Naxalite militant named Swarup, and the series will explore the romantic journey shared by Elina and Swarup.

Cabaret marks Utsav Mukherjee's first collaboration with both Puja Banerjee and Satyam Bhattacharya. It also brings together Puja Banerjee and Satyam Bhattacharya on-screen for the first time.

Utsav Mukherjee, known for directing films like Bheetu: Coward, Karkat Rogue, Half Serious, and Bhalobashar Shohor: Shorshe Ilish, is set to deliver another compelling narrative with Cabaret.
