Shaitaan (2024) Movie Teaser Review:
On January 25th, 2024, Jio Studios unveiled the teaser for the upcoming horror thriller Shaitaan. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film is a Hindi adaptation of Writer-Director Krishnadev Yagnik's film "Vash", which was released last year and starred Janki Bodiwala in the lead role.
"Shaitaan", produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners Devgn Film, Jio Studios, & Panorama Studios, stars Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyothika, & Janki Bodiwala in the lead roles. This film marks Jyothika's return to Bollywood after 26 years since her debut with "Doli Saja Ke Rakhna" in 1997. Additionally, it marks Janki Bodiwala's Bollywood debut.
Aamil Keeyan Khan, known for writing screenplays and dialogues for films like "Runway 34", "Drishyam 2", & "Bholaa", is responsible for the adapted screenplay. Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti handles the cinematography, Sandeep Francis takes care of the editing, and Amit Trivedi is responsible for the music composition. Action Directors Vikram Mor & R. P. Yadav will choreograph the action stunts.
The one-and-a-half-minute teaser features R Madhavan delivering lines like, “Woh poochega tumse... ek khel hai, kheloge? Par uske behkave mein maat aanaa!”, accompanied by visuals and a gripping background score, setting a perfectly eerie atmosphere. The teaser concludes with a shot of Jyothika, visibly scared, hinting at the intense and suspenseful nature of the film. Aangad Maaholay will be seen in a crucial role in this film. On 24th January 2024, Ajay Devgn unveiled the first look poster of this film.
"Shaitaan" marks Ajay Devgn’s second appearance in a horror thriller after Director Ram Gopal Varma’s "Bhoot" in 2003. He is also set to appear in upcoming projects like "Raid 2", "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha", "Singham Again", & "Maidaan".
R Madhavan’s last big screen release was "Dhokha: Round D Corner", and he last appeared in the web series "The Railway Men". He is also lined up for upcoming projects like "The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair", "Amriki Pandit", & "Adhirshtasaali".
Jyothika was last seen in "Kaathal-The Core" opposite Mammootty and is also part of upcoming projects like "Sri" & "Dabba Cartel". Vikas Bahl’s last directorial venture "Ganapath Part 1" did not leave much impact at the box office.
