Dorod (2024) Movie: Anonno Mamun & Shakib Khan’s 2nd Collaboration
On the grand occasion of Valentine’s Day, Eskay Movies unveiled Shakib Khan’s first look poster from their upcoming action thriller, Dorod. Directed by Anonno Mamun, the film stars Shakib Khan as the male lead, and Sonal Chauhan & Peyel Sarkar as the female leads, while Payel Sarkar, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Dev, & Safa Marua will be seen in supporting roles. Eskay Movies quoted, “Sakal Opekhar Obosan ghotiye, Dorod bhora bhalobasa niye, se aschhe..”
Dorod will be released in theaters in Bengali, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, & Kannada languages and has been titled Dard for other versions, making it the first-ever Bangladeshi film to be released in six different languages. The first look poster features Shakib Khan with a bloodied face and hand, looking intensely with a smile, hinting at a high-octane action thriller. However, there is no update about the release date, teaser, & trailer date of this film yet.
The Indo-Bangladesh production film has been jointly produced by Eskay Movies, Action Cut Entertainment, & Kibria Films. This marks the 2nd collaboration between Anonno Mamun and Shakib Khan after Nabab LLB.
Anonno Mamun’s only film released last year was Radio, starring Riaz Ahmed, Zakia Bari Momo, Nader Chowdhury, Lutfur Rahman George. Anonno Mamun’s upcoming directorial ventures include Ovinoy, Sporsho, & Bandhan, while Shakib Khan will be seen in Raihan Rafi’s upcoming action thriller Toofan. Payel Sarkar will also be featured in the horror thriller Ahalya.
