On February 20, 2024, Camellia Productions Pvt Ltd officially confirmed the release date for their upcoming romantic drama film, Oti Uttam. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the movie features an ensemble cast including Uttam Kumar, Anindya Sengupta, Gourab Chatterjee, and Roshni Bhattacharyya in thr lead roles and Subhasish Mukherjee, Laboni Sarkar, Jeena Tarafder, Sonia Gupta in the supporting roles. The film will hit the theatres on 22nd March 2024.
Srijit Mukherji, a fervent admirer of the legendary Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, is bringing the iconic actor back to the big screen with "Oti Uttam," adding to the anticipation among fans. The film also marks Roshni Bhattacharyya's debut on the silver screen, adding a fresh perspective to the cast. Subhasish Mukherjee and Laboni Sarkar will be portraying crucial roles in the film.
The trailer for "Oti Uttam" was unveiled on the anniversary of Mahanayak Uttam Kumar's passing. The first song, "Saiyyan Beimaan," was released on Valentine's Day, while the second song, "Chawl Meye," was unveiled on February 21, 2024. Music composer Saptak Sanai Das has received praise for his work, with both songs garnering positive responses from listeners.
This film marks Anindya Sengupta’s second collaboration with Srijit Mukherji after X=Prem. Notably, Anindya Sengupta delivered a stellar performance in Preme Pora Baron. Srijit Mukherji's previous film, Dawshom Awbotaar, was a blockbuster hit in 2023, further building anticipation for Oti Uttam.
