After the resounding success of Jongole Mitin Mashi last year, actress Koel Mallick is reprising her role as Mitin Mashi once again in the upcoming mystery thriller Ekti Khunir Sondhaney Mitin.
Directed by Arindam Sil, the film marks the third installment of this franchise and the third collaboration between Arindam Sil and Koel Mallick. The story of this film is based on Suchitra Bhattacharya's "Megher Pore Megh".
The screenplay of this film will be written by Arindam Sil and Padmanabha Dasgupta while Sunil Rodrigues will handle the action choreography of this film. The shooting of this film will begin this March around mostly various parts of Kolkata while there is a possibility the film will be released in theatres in Durga Puja this year.
Lekha Chatterjee and Subhrajit Dutta will be returning to reprise their roles from the second installment, while Gaurav Chakrabarty, Saheb Chatterjee, Madhurima Basak, Anasua Majumder, and Koneenica Banerjee are new additions to the cast of this film, which will be produced by Surinder Films.
Roshni Bhattacharyya, who is making her big-screen debut with Srijit Mukherji’s Oti Uttam, will be seen in a crucial role in this thriller.
Madhurima Basak is making a comeback to the big screen after two years since her last appearance in Srijit Mukherji’s X=Prem in 2022. Subhrajit Dutta was last seen in Palasher Biye, while Anasua Majumder was last seen in Raktabeej.
