On the grand occasion of Eid on 11th April 2024, Surinder Films unveiled the official trailer of their upcoming romantic drama, Alaap. There has been much anticipation for this Premendu Bikash Chaki directorial, as Mimi Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee have reunited after delivering a blockbuster like Raktabeej last year.
The two-and-a-half-minute trailer shows Bablu (Abir Chatterjee) working for US-based clients, so he works at night and sleeps during the day. Aditi (Mimi Chakraborty) works during the day and sleeps at night. They share a flat but have never met each other. Over time, they develop feelings for each other due to their daily activities.
Aditi travels 20 km from her flat to the office daily, which makes it difficult for her, and she has to hear complaints about her tardiness from her boss. Then one day, Aditi leaves the flat and shares the interesting story of their flat-sharing arrangement with her partner, Kinjal Nanda. Bablu also shares the same story with his partner, Swastika Dutta, to whom it seems quite interesting and improbable.
The trailer edit has not been up to the mark, as it has revealed almost the entire story. Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty’s on-screen chemistry will be the most interesting aspect of this romantic drama. Anupam Roy’s music composition will be another major aspect of this film, which has been produced by Surinder Films and is scheduled to hit theatres on 26th April 2024.
Mimi Chakraborty will be featured in the upcoming film Toofan opposite Shakib Khan while Abir Chatterjee will be seen in Babli co-starring Subhashree Ganguly and Sauraseni Maitra.
