On May 16, 2024, actor Vikram Chatterjee unveiled a poster on his social media that hints at his upcoming action film Pariah 2, directed by Tathagata Mukherjee. The poster features a minimalist design with a white background. At the center, there are two prominent red marks that resemble claw slashes and a stylized Roman numeral II (2). The poster also confirms that the film will arrive in theaters in 2025.
Pariah 2 is the sequel to Tathagata Mukherjee’s successful venture Pariah Vol. 1, which was the biggest career hit for both Tathagata Mukherjee and Vikram Chatterjee to date. The film received a positive response from audiences and had a decent box office collection. The performances of Vikram Chatterjee and Soumya Mukherjee, along with Tathagata Mukherjee's storytelling, were highly praiseworthy. The sequel will primarily focus on the backstory of Lubdhak Chatterjee, portrayed by Vikram Chatterjee, and will highlight the theme of human cruelty towards animals.
On the grand occasion of Vikram Chatterjee’s birthday on May 17, the actor shared the motion poster of his upcoming film Pariah Vol. 2: The Rise of Kalbhairav. The motion poster’s background features a large, red-orange sun or moon, creating a dramatic and intense atmosphere. Two large, curved, ornate structures frame the sides of the image, resembling tusks or horns with intricate designs.
In the motion poster, Vikram Chatterjee appears muscular, wearing a mask, holding a large weapon, and carrying ammunition. A dog stands beside him, adding to the intense and wild atmosphere. Several helicopters are flying in the background, hinting at an action theme. The ground is littered with what appear to be human bodies, enhancing the sense of conflict. Overall, the Pariah Vol. 2 motion poster conveys a sense of action and intensity. Expectations are certainly high this time, and we will have to wait to see if it surpasses part 1. The film is a joint venture of Pramod Films and Dream On Sale.
