On 27th June 2024, Hoichoi unveiled the official trailer of their upcoming web series Bijoya. The series, directed by Sayantan Ghosal, stars Swastika Mukherjee, Debdutta Raha, Shaheb Chattopadhyay, and Bidipta Chakraborty in the lead roles.
The 2-and-a-half-minute trailer begins with Neel (Debdutta Raha) confessing that ragging started at the college on the very first day. Neel is seen falling from a roof, and the police claim it was a suicide attempt. Neel’s mother, Bijoya (Swastika Mukherjee), insists that her son wouldn’t commit suicide. She declares her fight against the people responsible for her son’s condition. Did Neel attempt suicide, or is there a murder conspiracy behind it?
Swastika Mukherjee’s dialogues and Shibasish Banerjee’s background score are the major highlights of Bijoya's trailer. Debdutta Raha looks convincing as Neel. Shaheb Chattopadhyay, as the antagonist, is an interesting addition to the cast of this series. Bidipta Chakraborty and Jeet Sundar will play crucial roles in this series.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues of Bijoya have been written by Rohit Soumya. Tuban is responsible for the cinematography, Subhajit Singha for the editing, and Shibasish Banerjee and Pratik Kundu have composed the music. The series will premiere on Hoichoi on 5th July.
