Bohurupi Bengali Movie: Shiboprosad Mukherjee Confirmed Shooting Wrapped

On 12th June 2024, Director Shiboprosad Mukherjee shared a picture from his social media handle confirming the shooting wrap-up of the upcoming thriller Bohurupi. He also shared some more insights about this film, including that the idea for this movie first came in 2012. It took 32 days to finish the shooting, which started on 12th March this year.

Directed by one of the hit director duos of Tollywood, Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Bohurupi stars Abir Chatterjee as the male lead, with Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee as the female leads.

The film is based on a true story and is scheduled to release in theatres during Durga Puja 2024. Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka and Pathikrit Basu's Shastri will also compete for halls during Durga Puja this year.

Expectations for this film are quite high, as the last film by this director duo, Raktabeej, was a blockbuster, and Abir Chatterjee's last release, Alaap, was also a hit. Ananda Adhya, who recently impressed with his art direction in Jeet’s Boomerang, will be responsible for the art direction of Bohurupi too.

Shiboprosad Mukherjee also acknowledged that the love of audiences and the blessings of Mother Annapurna have made the journey possible. He mentioned that the tireless work of the unit members, even in stormy weather, rain, 45-degree temperatures, and facing accidents, made the project very challenging.
