Boka Bakshote Bondi Web Series Review: Solanki Roy Delivers a Convincing Performance

Director Debaloy Bhattacharya’s latest psychological drama Boka Bakshote Bondi, starring Solanki Roy, Neel Bhattacharya, Shoumo Banerjee, Riya Ganguly, and Alivia Sarkar, premiered on Hoichoi on 21st June 2024.

The story revolves around Apola (Solanki Roy), an actress famous for her screen name Sondhyamoni in the mega serial “Mon Sohager Ghor.” She is married to Partho (Shoumo Banerjee), while Indra (Neel Bhattacharya) plays her on-screen husband in the serial.

Suddenly, the people from the serial start making her believe that they are present in Sondhyamoni’s real life and not just acting. Is everyone lying to Apola?

Debaloy Bhattacharya is known for delivering experimental projects. He faced many challenges during the execution of Boka Bakshote Bondi because he is not quite familiar with the serials, which are an integral part of this series, as he shared in various interviews. This is certainly not among the best works of Debaloy Bhattacharya, but he tried his best here.

Boka Bakshote Bondi is a mix of psychological drama and family drama genres. Solanki Roy delivers a convincing performance. The scenes where she is confused about whether she is interacting with people in real life or on set were the most convincing ones.

Neel Bhattacharya and Shoumo Banerjee provided decent performances. Amit Chatterjee impresses with the music composition and background score. If you love watching experimental works or serials, then you can add Boka Bakshote Bondi to your list.
