Babli (2024) Bengali Movie's Release Date Has Been Confirmed

On 16th July 2024, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment confirmed the release date of their upcoming romantic drama Babli. Directed by Raj Chakraborty, the film Babli is based on Buddhadeb Guha's novel and will hit theaters on 15th August 2024. 

Subhashree Ganguly is portraying the titular role, while the male protagonist, Abir Chatterjee, is playing the character of Abhi. The second female lead of this film, Sauraseni Maitra, is portraying the character of Jhuma. The makers unveiled the official teaser on 14th April this year, and we may see the trailer by the end of this month.

There is significant hype on social media for this film, as it marks the first time Abir Chatterjee and Subhashree Ganguly will be seen romancing on-screen together. Indraadip Dasgupta's music composition has already started earning praise from audiences for the song "Dube Achi," and there is considerable excitement for the next song, "Bhalobeshe Phelechi Tomaye," as well.

Abir Chatterjee’s latest release, Alaap, received positive responses from audiences, and this year he will also be featured in Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Bohurupi. Subhashree Ganguly returns to the big screen after last year’s release Doctor Bakshi, and she will also be featured in Aleyar Bari and Santan.
