Bhul Jonmo (2024) Drama Review: Mehazabien Chowdhury & Afran Nisho’s impressive on-screen chemistry

Vicky Zahed's directorial romantic drama Bhul Jonmo starring Afran Nisho and Mehazabien Chowdhury premiered on RTV Drama on 15th February 2021.

The story revolves around Sirin (Mehazabien Chowdhury), who lost her mother and has nowhere to go now. She remembers her mother’s last words, which said that in case she is in trouble, she must go to Nasrin aunty who will help her. But after reaching her, Nasrin aunty assures Sirin that she will help her.

Sirin’s mother was a prostitute, so Nasrin tried to land Sirin in the same profession. However, Sirin somehow escaped and requested Rocky (Afran Nisho) for help. Rocky is the son of a local gangster and is a drug addict who hates his father due to a tragedy in the past. Will Rocky save Sirin from her aunty?

Mehazabien Chowdhury and Afran Nisho’s on-screen chemistry is enjoyable. Director Vicky Zahed gave the pair enough space, which is why the emotional scenes, including the one in the climax, worked well. Afran Nisho perfectly portrayed the character of Rocky, a drug addict who hates his father.

Mehazabien Chowdhury as Sirin also looks convincing. Having a backstory of Sirin showing her past life would have made it more convincing. Similarly, Rocky’s backstory is also missing here, and the reason why he hates his father was not established properly. The background score also seems pretty ordinary.

Overall, Vicky Zahed's directorial romantic drama Bhul Jonmo is a decent one-time watch drama, featuring Mehazabien Chowdhury and Afran Nisho’s impressive performances and their enjoyable on-screen romance.
