Bohurupi (2024) Bengali Movie: Windows Unveiled Abir Chatterjee's First Look Poster

On 7th July 2024, Windows Production unveiled the first look motion poster of Abir Chatterjee from their upcoming thriller Bohurupi, which has been scheduled to be released during Durga Puja this year. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Bohurupi stars Koushani Mukherjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty as female leads, with Shiboprosad Mukherjee in a significant role.

The 22-second motion poster shows three different images of Abir Chatterjee. In one image, he is holding a gun in his left hand with a stern expression on his face; in another, he is chasing criminals in uniform; and in the third, he is chasing goons without a uniform. He is wearing a police cap and aviator sunglasses. He will portray the character of S.I. Sumanta Ghoshal in this film. The story of Bohurupi is based on one of the biggest bank robberies in West Bengal.

The background is divided into two contrasting colors: blue on the left and red on the right. There are also images of cars and other action scenes in the background. The blue side of the background shows a forest or wooded area.

After Fatafati, Abir Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty will once again pair up for another on-screen romantic chemistry in this film. Ritabhari Chakraborty will portray the character of Sumanta Ghoshal’s wife. Shiboprosad Mukherjee will portray the role of Bikram, an accountant at a factory. Koushani Mukherjee will portray the character of a thief named Jhimli.

Last year, Abir Chatterjee was seen in the role of an intelligence officer in the Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee directorial thriller Raktabeej. Apart from Bohurupi, Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka and Pathikrit Basu’s Shastri are also set to release this Durga Puja, making it a bit difficult for audiences to choose among these three big films.
