Hoichoi is leaving no stone unturned these days to attract massive audiences to their platform. From streaming various genres of web series throughout the year, they are also bringing most of the hit Bengali films to their platform. On 12th July 2024, Tathagata Mukherjee’s Pariah Vol 1 premiered on this platform. Last week Swastika Mukherjee starring Bijoya web series premiered on this platform.
On 13th July 2024, Hoichoi unveiled the official poster and confirmed the OTT release date of director Raj Chakraborty’s political drama film Dharmajuddha. The film, starring Swatilekha Sengupta, Subhashree Ganguly, Ritwick Chakraborty, Soham Chakraborty, and Parno Mittra, was released in theatres on 11th August 2022. The film will be released on the OTT platform Hoichoi on 19th July 2024.
Dharmajuddha was jointly produced by Raj Chakraborty and Shyam Agarwal under the banners Raj Chakraborty Productions and Srijan Arts, marking their second collaboration after Le Chakka. Indraadip Dasgupta composed the music, Soumik Haldar was the director of photography, and Sanglap Bhowmick was the editor of this film.
The plot of Dharmajuddha revolves around the violence among a group of communities. How the lives of the people associated with it change when they take shelter in an old woman’s house will be unveiled in the film.
