On 17th July 2024, SVF Entertainment shared glimpses from the Shubho Mahurat of their upcoming film. Director Rahool Mukherjee brings superstars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya together for this project, which marks the 171st production of SVF Entertainment. This successful pair was first seen in "Gumnaami" and then in Dawshom Awbotaar, both directed by Srijit Mukherji.
In addition to Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya, the film will feature Priyanka Sarkar, Aparajita Adhya, Rajatava Dutta, Surajit Banerjee, and Parijat Chaudhuri in crucial roles. Soumik Haldar will handle the cinematography. The title of this film has not been fixed yet.
The film is expected to compete with Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka, Nandita Roy-Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s Bohurupi, and Pathikrit Basu’s Shastri during this year's Durga Puja. The story of this film has been adapted from a South Indian film.
Rahool Mukherjee, who has previously directed films like Dilkhush and Kishmish, as well as the web series Chhobi Biswas, is expected to deliver something even better than what audiences experienced in Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya’s last collaboration, "Dawshom Awbotaar."
Prosenjit Chatterjee’s last release, Ajogya, was a box-office blockbuster in 2024. Anirban Bhattacharya’s last release, Athhoi, earned appreciation from audiences. Aparajita Adhya’s last release, Eta Amader Golpo, ranks second among the highest-grossing films of 2024.
