Inspector Nalinikanta 2 Trailer: Rajatava Dutta Returns to Solve a New Mystery

On August 12, 2024, the OTT platform Klikk released the official trailer for their upcoming cop thriller, Inspector Nalinikanta 2. Directed by Soumik Chattopadhyaya, the series stars Rajatava Dutta in the titular role, with Amrita Chatterjee, Chhandak Choudhury, Suprabhat Das, and Raja Chatterjee in supporting roles.

The 2-minute trailer features Inspector Nalinikanta Kundu (played by Rajatava Dutta) returning to solve a new mystery. He is tasked with investigating the death of Arnab (played by Suprabhat Das). Nandini (Amrita Chatterjee) and Judhisthir Williams (Raja Chatterjee) emerge as prime suspects. Will Inspector Nalinikanta be able to unravel the mystery behind Arnab's death?

The trailer effectively showcases the different facets of Rajatava Dutta's character. As a dedicated police officer, his approach to the investigation, meticulously following every clue to uncover the killer, is intriguing. His love for food is also highlighted in the trailer, adding a unique touch to his character. The background score is decent, though the comedy scenes seem only okay.

In one scene, Nalinikanta's wife is determined to visit Rajasthan, regardless of whether he gets assigned to the case or not, while Nalinikanta tries to convince her to consider a trip to a hill station instead—an amusing interaction that adds to the story's appeal. The story, screenplay, and dialogues of Inspector Nalinikanta 2 are written by Rudra. Abir is responsible for the cinematography, and Debasish Das takes charge of the art direction for the series.
