Trivikram Srinivas written and directed action drama film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo turned 5 years. The film was produced by Allu Aravind and S. Radha Krishna under the banners of Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations.
The film starring Allu Arjun, Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Tabu, Sushanth, Nivetha Pethuraj, Murali Sharma, Sachin Khedekar, Samuthirakani, Sunil, Rajendra Prasad, was released in theatres on 12th January 2020.

The film also became the 2nd highest grossing Indian film of 2020, trailing only Ajay Devgn starring Tanhaji. At 68th National Film Awards, Thaman won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction.
At 9th South Indian International Movie Awards, the film received 12 nominations and won ten awards. The film was remade in Hindi titled Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon.
