Faraar Movie: Amitabh Bachchan & Sharmila Tagore Starring Film Turned 49 Years

Shankar Mukherjee's directorial crime thriller Faraar turned 49 years. The film was produced by Alankar Chitra under the banners of Filmistan Studio, Filmways Studios, and K. Asif Studios.

The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, and Sanjeev Kumar was released in theatres on 21st November 1975.

The movie has been remade in Malayalam by Priyadarshan as Parayanumvayya Parayathirikkanumvayya. Shankar Mukherjee also directed films like Banarasi Babu, Pyar Mohabbat, and Baat Ek Raat Ki.

Kalyanji–Anandji composed the music for this film. K.H. Kapadia handled the Cinematography and Babu Lavande edited this film.

Sulochana Latkar, Rajan Haksar, D.K. Sapru, Bhagwan, and Murad played significant roles in this film. Faraar marked 2nd collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore after Chupke Chupke in 1975.
