On 5th January 2024, Akshay Kumar unveiled the official trailer of his upcoming historical war film Sky Force. The film written by Sandeep Kewlani, Aamil Keeyan, Carl Austin, Niren Bhatt, will hit the theatres on 24th January 2025.
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, in the lead roles. The film marks debut of Veer Pahariya.
The trailer begins with India’s historic first airstrike on Pakistan. Alongside this, the trailer introduces Veer Pahariya as Captain T Vijaya, a fearless risk-taker whose daring approach often sees him branded as a “madman” by his colleagues.
Akshay Kumar’s character drives his team to undertake the groundbreaking airstrike, only for Captain Vijaya to vanish during the mission. As the government falters in its response, K.O. Ahuja fights tirelessly to convince the authorities to search for the missing soldier.
The film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande, Amar Kaushik under the banners of Jio Studios, Maddock Films and Leo Films UK Production.
Tanishk Bagchi has composed the music and Justin Varghese has composed the background score of this film. This marks the second collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan, following their appearance together in Atrangi Re.
Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran handled the cinematography and A. Sreekar Prasad has edited this film. This film marks the second collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur, following their appearance together in Airlift.
