Arpan Garai directorial romantic tragedy web series Talmar Romeo Juliet premiered on Hoichoi on 15th November 2024. The series stars Debdutta Raha, Hiya Roy, Anirban Bhattacharya in the lead roles and Ujaan Chatterjee, Shiladitya Chatterjee, Anujoy Chattopadhyay, Payel De, Joydeep Mukherjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee in supporting roles.
The series has been adapted from Romeo and Juliet Play by William Shakespeare and Anirban Bhattacharya is the creative director of this series.
Anirban Bhattacharya as Mostaq steals the show with a magnificent performance. His dialogue delivery, expressions, and intense gaze will keep you fully engaged with his character throughout the series.
Anujoy Chattopadhyay as Somnath got a brilliant character and he fully utilized it showcasing his abilities to make a good impact with his character.
The writing of the on-screen chemistry between Debdutta Raha and Hiya Roy was brilliant and they portrayed their characters convincingly, bringing the depth in the web series.
The web series perfectly provide tribute to Bengali commercial cinema with a special focus on Jeet, Dev, Raj Chakraborty, Haranath Chakraborty.
Payel De, Joydeep Mukherjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Ujaan Chatterjee, Shiladitya Chatterjee, Durbar Sharma provided good support with their respective characters. Debraj Bhattacharya's music composition was also impressive
