Cholo Paltai Movie: Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aryann Bhowmik Starring Film Completed 14 Years

Haranath Chakraborty's directorial social problem sports drama film Cholo Paltai completed 14 years. The film, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik, Rajatava Dutta, and Tathoi Deb in the lead roles, was released in theatres on 4 March 2011.

The film is a remake of the 2010 Marathi movie Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho, which was written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The original film starred Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav, Saksham Kulkarni, Gauri Vaidya, Siddharth Jadhav, Kranti Redkar, and Vidyadhar Joshi.

The film was produced by Mahendra Soni and Shrikant Mohta under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films. Mahesh Manjrekar provided the story, while N.K. Salil took charge of both the screenplay and writing.

The film marked director Haranath Chakraborty's 16th collaboration with Prosenjit Chatterjee after Sangharsha, Bidroho, Ajker Santan, Ranokhetro, Dai Daitya, Sasurbari Zindabad, Aasroy, Pratibad, Gyarakal, Surya, Sangram, Raju Uncle, Refugee, Swapno, Jor Jar Muluk Tar.

Anupam Roy composed the music for this film marking his maiden collaboration with director Haranath Chakraborty. Mouli Ganguly, Debranjan Nag, B.D Mukherjee, Supriyo Dutta appeared in crucial roles in this film.

Cholo Paltai marked 2nd film for Aryann Bhowmik after his debut in 2008 with Neel Rajar Deshe. The film marked the 2nd collaboration between Aryann Bhowmik and Tathoi Deb after Neel Rajar Deshe. The film marked director Haranath Chakraborty's maiden collaboration with Aryann Bhowmik. 

Subhomoy (Prosenjit Chatterjee), a strict father, opposes his son Gourav's (Aryann Bhowmik) cricketing dreams, leading to a tragic accident that puts Gourav in a coma. Filled with guilt, Subhomoy challenges the flawed education system, even confronting the Chief Minister (B. D. Mukherjee). But will Gourav recover to fulfill his dream?
