Nishikant Kamat's directorial neo-noir action thriller film Rocky Handsome completed 9 years. John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, Nathalia Kaur, Diya Chalwad and Nishikant Kamat played the lead roles in the film, which was released in the theatres on 25 March 2016.
Under the banner of J.A Entertainment and Azures Entertainment, John Abraham and Sunir Khetrapal produced the film, with Azures Entertainment overseeing distribution. Ritesh Shah penned the screenplay for this official adaptation of the Korean film The Man from Nowhere, originally written and directed by Lee Jeong-beom, featuring Won Bin and Kim Sae-ron.
With a production budget of around ₹20 crore, the film garnered around ₹35 crore at the box office. Uday Tikekar, Sharad Kelkar, Teddy Maurya, Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, Suhasini Mulay, and Sanjay Khapre played crucial roles in the film.
