Ahead of Superstar Allu Arjun’s 43rd birthday on April 8, one of his blockbuster films, Arya 2, is set for a theatrical re-release on April 5, 2025. Directed by Sukumar, the film Arya 2, starring Allu Arjun, Kajal Aggarwal, and Navdeep in lead roles, was originally released in theatres on November 27, 2009.
The advance booking response has been stunning, reflecting the film’s enduring popularity among fans. The film’s story was penned by Sukumar, with the screenplay by T. Prakash and Chandrasekhar T. Ramesh, while Vema Reddy handled the dialogues.
The film was produced by Aditya Babu and B. V. S. N. Prasad under Aditya Arts and distributed by Viacom18 Studios. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music of this film marking his 3rd collaboration with Superstar Allu Arjun and director Sukumar after Arya and Jagadam.
Arya 2 marked Sukumar’s third directorial venture since his debut with the 2004 romantic action film Arya, which starred Allu Arjun and Anu Mehta. The film marked Sukumar's 2nd collaboration with Allu Arjun after Arya.

It was also nominated in multiple categories, including Best Film, Best Director (Sukumar), Best Actor (Allu Arjun), Best Music Director (Devi Sri Prasad), Best Male Playback Singer (Baba Sehgal for "Mr. Perfect"), and Best Lyricist (Vanamali for "Karigeloga Jeevitam").
