Shreeman vs Shreemati Teaser: Mithun Chakraborty & Anjan Dutt Shine

On April 1, 2025, Kahhak Studios unveiled the official teaser of their much-anticipated romantic drama film Shreeman vs Shreemati, igniting excitement among fans eagerly awaiting this fresh take on love and conflict.

Directed by the talented Pathikrit Basu, the film features Superstar Mithun Chakraborty, Anjana Basu, and Anjan Dutt in lead roles, and is set to hit theatres on May 1, 2025. Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Madhumita Sarcar, Roshni Bhattacharyya, Biswanath Basu, & Satyam Bhattacharya will portray significant roles in this film.

Drawing inspiration from India’s longest-running divorce case, it delves into the evolving dynamics of marriage and relationships across generations, highlighting the emotional complexities of separation.

The one-and-a-half-minute teaser beautifully captures the romantic chemistry between Anjan Dutt and Anjana Basu, Satyam Bhattacharya, and Roshni Bhattacharyya, and Parambrata Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar, while also offering glimpses into the emotional depths of their relationships.

Mithun Chakraborty's impactful dialogues and Anjan Dutt’s surprising action sequence stand out as the major highlights of the teaser. A clever twist on his iconic line from MLA Fatakeshto — “Marbo ekhane, ke kothay porbi ke jane” — adds a fun touch, especially with Mithun Chakraborty's signature delivery. The final dialogue in the teaser also lands with a strong punch, making it one of the most interesting moments.

One of the key highlights of the film is the first-ever on-screen collaboration between legendary actors Mithun Chakraborty and Anjan Dutt, making it a truly anticipated moment for audiences. The story and screenplay of this film are penned by Aritra Banerjee, with dialogues written by Arpan Gupta.

The music for this film is composed by Indraadip Dasgupta, with cinematography by Gopi Bhagat and editing by Sujoy Dutta Roy. Produced under the banner of Kahhak Studios, with Ananda Adhya helming the art direction, the visual aesthetic is in skilled hands.

Pathikrit Basu is undoubtedly one of the rising talents in the Bengali film industry. Though his last three directorial ventures — Kacher Manush, Dabaru, and Shastri — didn’t achieve exceptional box office success, they managed to resonate well with audiences. Hopefully, greater success awaits him in his upcoming projects.

Shriman vs Shrimati marks director Pathikrit Basu's 2nd collaboration with Mithun Chakraborty after Shastri. The film also marks director Pathikrit Basu's maiden collaboration with Anjan Dutt, Anjana Basu, Parambrata Chatterjee, Madhumita Sarcar, Satyam Bhattacharya, Roshni Bhattacharya.
