To celebrate the 13th anniversary of Shoojit Sircar's romantic comedy Vicky Donor, the film was re-released in theatres on 18th April 2025. The film, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Yami Gautam, Annu Kapoor, and Dolly Ahluwalia starred in the lead roles, was originally released in theatres on 20 April 2012.

The Telugu remake titled Naruda Donoruda was directed by Mallik Ram with Sumanth in the lead, while the Tamil version, Dharala Prabhu, was helmed by Krishna Marimuthu and starred Harish Kalyan.
At the 14th IIFA Awards, Vicky Donor received 12 nominations and won 4 awards, including Best Male Debut (Ayushmann Khurrana), Best Female Debut (Yami Gautam), Best Supporting Actor (Annu Kapoor), and Best Dialogue (Juhi Chaturvedi).
